Just bumped into this out of no where. I was running a few apps on board when I decided to call a friend and all of a sudden the N900 went Portrait. So if you too want the portrait effect then do as follows:

  1. install and run Braek
  2. launch the phone app
  3. once you launch the phone app, goto dail pad and minimize it

Now it should be in portrait mode :D
